I often use my reading as an escape from the big stuff of real life.  And even though there are many children’s books that address more serious topics, I have found a safe, little space in my corner of picture books, short chapter books, and middle grade novels.  This is not to say that I’m avoiding growth or learning through my reading, and I certainly read my fair share of adult non-fiction, but children’s lit is usually where I get my dose of fiction.

But once in a while I DO branch out and read a book for older teens or adults.  So while this list may grow a little slower than other ones on my channel and on this site, I am looking forward to sharing some of my favorites from this book category here.
