I definitely feel like I have a ways to go in the eco-conscious clothing cycle.  While I do buy almost all of our clothes thrifted and I do donate or upcycle clothing items we’re done with, I still feel like I end up with so much textile waste.  Finding durable, sustainable clothing is so important considering the enormity of the problems surrounding textile production and waste.  But even though I understand the long-range benefits for myself and the planet, it can be tricky to navigate this on a tight budget and with growing children.  Thrifted is a great start, but not all clothing items are found in thrift shops and sometimes clothing or shoes are just not able to be donated afterwards.

I am always looking for practical, doable ways to navigate reducing, reusing, and recycling clothing items.  I am certainly “on the journey” for this topic, but I will keep sharing as I go.
