While the occasions for National “holidays” can seem to get a bit carried away at times (Did you know in the U.S. May 9th is “Lost Sock Memorial Day” and February 11th is “Don’t Cry Over Spilled Milk Day?”), I do still love the opportunity to celebrate some of the little things in life through these fun days, and I especially love when the days have a literary focus.  

I’ve been sharing about some of the special book days and other National days over on my YouTube channel, but for easier reference, I’m adding them here by month.  Most of these are days U.S.-based on the official listings, but hopefully these can be a fun opportunity to explore these topics any time of year, from wherever you are.
